UNIVERSITY OF BRASILIA RESEARCH GROUP ON CRYPTOASSETS LAW

The Cryptoassets Law Research Group (acronym Gecrypto) is a university-based research group focused on law theory, legal frameworks, and policy issues in the cryptoassets and blockchain sector from the perspective of the regulatory practice in Brazil and abroad. Founded in 2023 at the University of Brasilia, Gecrypto hosts its activities both at the University of Brasilia School of Law and the Center on Communications Policy, Law, Economics, and Technology. The main goal of this research group is to put together in a broad theoretical framework of regulatory law statutes, judicial decisions, doctrine, and regulatory practice aiming at building synergy among different subsectorial legal approaches on blockchain-based services, cryptoassets and Web3.
